About
The Stop Racism at UCSD blog was begun in February 2010 in response to the “Compton Cookout,” a racist ‘theme party’ thrown by UCSD students to mock African American History Month. This blog aims to disseminate timely information about the ongoing on- and off-campus responses to this event, as well as documenting subsequent acts of racism, sexism, classism, and homophobia at UCSD and elsewhere.

I called the chancellor’s office and voiced my displeasure with the current racial environment on campus. I asked what measures were in place to insure a safe educational environment and was told to visit the the school’s website. Are the demands of the Black Student Union Demand being met? I’m from Texas how can I show more support besides making a phone call?
Thanks for supporting us by taking the time to call the chancellor.
Please stay tuned to things blog for future info on how else people can help.
yours,
J.F.
